I partnered closely with director, writer, and executive producer Gretl Claggett to develop and produce The Journey Home — guiding the creative vision, shaping the narrative brief, and ensuring brand alignment across every element of the production.
We chose a cinematic, on-location approach in Chicago: local actors, a diverse crew, and a deliberately lean production model that never compromised on craft. The story follows a graduate student racing home to support his hospitalized father, with Teradata’s Trusted AI helping him navigate real-world obstacles across multiple industries — healthcare, transportation, logistics. It’s a human story first. The technology earns its place.
- Narrative Film Production: Developed a feature-style short film, fully scripted and storyboarded, shot on location in Chicago, and produced to cinematic standards — a first for Teradata.
- Human-Centered Storytelling: Built the film around authentic emotional experience rather than product messaging, letting the technology emerge through the story rather than lead it.
- Brand Alignment Across Stakeholders: Collaborated closely with marketing, product, and executive leadership to ensure the film carried the Trusted AI positioning without losing its humanity.
- Multi-Channel Integration: Deployed the film across marketing events, leadership presentations, digital channels, and internal communications, where it became one of the most-used brand assets in Teradata’s library.
